3D Plasty is recognized globally and is a manufacturer for new engineering innovations for medical applications of tomorrow. In the present climate of increasing life expectancy with a resultant increase in bone-related injuries, orthopaedic, plastic and reconstructive surgery are undergoing a paradigm shift from standard bone grafting to tissue engineering, where a scaffold is implanted to provide sufficient load-bearing support and regenerate tissue. In 1996, a team of Singaporean engineers initiated research to design a technological platform for the manufacturing of novel 3-dimensional (3D) scaffolds, which marked the beginning of 3D Plasty.
At 3D Plasty, our products are fabricated in-house using 3D printing technology that is precise and allows for customisation of shape and geometry. This is critical for establishing a snug fit with the human anatomy. The unique architecture of our products is conducive for infiltration of cells and blood vessels, both of which play key roles in wound healing and tissue repair. 3D Plasty products are made of a US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved polymer called polycaprolactone (PCL). PCL is bioresorbable, malleable, slow-degrading and possess mechanical strength similar to trabecular bone.

Our Technology

3D Plasty is involved in designing, developing and marketing bioresorbable polymer implants for neurosurgical, orthopaedic, and maxillofacial surgery use.

3D Plasty's proprietary technologies allow for the development of biostructures which are synthetic biologically active tissue engineered products for the restoration of the human skeleton. 3D Plasty's core technology, the 3D printed biomimetic micro architecture which facilitates the bone healing process, provides multiple opportunities for growth through developing surgical implants and for pursuing regulatory approval for its products to initiate revenue opportunities.
